Linen: the fabric that breathes the soul of the Iberian Peninsula.

There is something deeply personal to us in linen.

Not only for its fresh and light feel that suits long summer days, but also because it carries with it the texture of time, tradition, and the Iberian landscape.

Linen was already worn by previous generations, in a time when clothing was made to last, to be felt, to be part of life. Today, in a world where speed dictates trends and disposable items occupy too much space, returning to linen is almost an act of resistance – or of awareness.

The breathable fabric

Linen is a natural fiber produced from the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum). It has been cultivated for thousands of years and remains one of the most sustainable options in the textile industry.
Unlike other fabrics, it doesn't need large amounts of water or pesticides to grow. It's biodegradable, durable, and becomes even more beautiful over time.

But there's an even more sensory reason to choose linen in the summer: it breathes.
It allows air circulation, wicks away moisture, and keeps the body cool even on the hottest days. Anyone who has ever worn linen trousers knows: it's like having a breeze accompanying every step.

The soul of a warm and free territory.

In the Iberian Peninsula, linen holds a special place. It's present in street markets, summer homes, painstakingly embroidered towels, and childhood memories. It's the fabric of the dry inland heat, the Atlantic sea breeze, and leisurely afternoons.

Wearing linen is therefore more than just dressing well - it's dressing with intention.
With respect to the skin, to nature, and to the time we live in.

A summer with room to breathe.

At Alvius, we believe that clothing should have a purpose.
That's why every summer we'll open the doors to linen season - with pieces designed for the body in motion and the mind at peace.

Our linen trousers are made in Portugal, with simple lines, cuts that respect the natural shape of the body, and colors inspired by the Mediterranean and the warm cobblestone streets of the south.

It's not a trend. It's a choice.
And perhaps, a return.
